In a groundbreaking initiative that promises to be a beacon of hope for marginalized communities, HiVoices, in collaboration with Youth Chapter, facilitated a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in Multan, leveraging the innovative UPROOT Scorecard tool. This pioneering effort aimed to amplify the voices of young People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and Key Populations, promoting awareness, inclusivity, and empowerment.
The FGD provided a safe space for marginalized communities to share their experiences, challenges, and aspirations, free from judgment and stigma. Our Co-Founder, Adeeba Ameen, led the session with empathy and expertise, fostering an environment of trust and understanding. This platform enabled participants to advocate for their rights, breaking down barriers and shattering the silence that has long surrounded HIV and Key Populations.
The UPROOT Scorecard tool played a vital role in this initiative, enabling participants to assess their needs, identify gaps, and develop strategies for advocacy. This empowering process equipped young PLHIV and Key Populations with the skills and confidence to drive change in their communities, reclaiming their narratives and shaping their own destinies.
