Jabeen Zahra She/ Her
Shia Community
Ms. Jabeen Zahra is activist and finance professional from Shia Muslim community. With a strong educational background in Accounting and Finance she holds a Master’s degree in this field with more then 9 years of experience in financial sector. With her leveraging expertise in finance, she is advocating for financial empowerment of girls. She is doing it by facilitating and capacity building around entrepreneurship, economic policies and economic opportunities for girls from different minorities groups. She is not only leading the finance in the board matters but also working to ensure financial sustainability in the organization. She has been appreciated and awarded for her work for girls’ economic empowerment.
Dherminder Kumar He/ Him
Hindu Community
Dherminder Kumar is a passionate Hindu advocate for interfaith harmony, women empowerment, health, education, children’s rights, and minority rights. With a background in Urdu literature (MA, 2022), he has been actively volunteering with national and international organizations since 2017. As a citizen journalist, he co-founded The Pak Voice in 2018 and have been associated with Mati TV for 6 years, producing over 18 documentaries on culture, history, and religious heritage. Currently, he is Social Media Manager at Hare Rama Foundation and affiliated and using digital stories as medium for advocating for the rights of minorities in Pakistan.
Shaharyar Ahmad He/ Him
Sheharyar Ahmad is a passionate minority rights advocate and a dedicated researcher from multi minority community. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Science of the Mind. He holds an MS in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from BNU. As an active member of Humanity in Voices, Sheharyar works towards empowering religious minorities in Pakistan. He has been instrumental in organizing capacity-building sessions on human rights, the UN Human Rights Declaration, and minority rights in Pakistan. His advocacy and awareness-raising programs aim to foster a more inclusive and tolerant society. In his research, Sheharyar focuses on understanding the psychological aspects of social issues, contributing valuable insights to the field of minority rights. Through his combined expertise in psychology and human rights. He is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of marginalized communities.
Abishay Basharat She / Her
Christian Community
Abishay Basharat, a transgender women and activist from Quetta, Pakistan, is the first transgender person to graduate from BUITEMS University in Balochistan. She is currently a victim support officer at the Women and Juvenile Facilitation Center and the first transgender person to hold an official government position in the police force in Balochistan. She has served in multiple local, national and international organization in various capacities including project supervisor for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). She’s worked with numerous organizations that support minorities, women, transgender people, and those with impairments. She is not only working for empowerment of young transgenders but also young religious minorities.
